STEP 4

Development Contributions

In this step I walk you through how to use the Auckland Council Development Contributions Estimating tool and give an example of the information that you will need to input in order to find out what your fees will be.

STEP 5

Service Connections

In this step we look at the potential for subdividing and what the different options are with the various service connections. You will be able to work out whether you need new public connections or whether connecting to the existing services already at your site will be better.

STEP 6

Preliminary & Building Costs

In this step I take you through a list of the various different preliminary costs that may be required before a Building Consent is able to be applied for. I then take you through ball-park costings for foundations, actual build m2 rates, and then a few site works costings.

STEP 7

Putting It All Together

In this step we use all the costings that we have worked out from the previous steps and we put them all together into the checklist and come up with the final ball-park estimate for your proposed new dwelling.
